Highway Death Reminders

The Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Office of Highway Safety will begin to post the Kentucky highway fatality totals for this year on more than 50 electronic message boards throughout our states highways.

To date this year there have been 599 people killed in highway accidents, two more than this same time last year.

Anytime there is a death from a car accident, especially the death of a child, it is important to be sure that if someone is responsible for such, that they pay the medical costs and other expenses associated with the accident. Additionally, the Estates of the Deceased can seek lost lifetime earning capabilities. When the death involves a child, the lifetime lost wages alone can reach millions of dollars. When the death involves the family’s primary income earner, seeking lost wages to cover the lost income to the family is very important to insure that the families continued daily bills get paid.
