Trucking Accident on Western Kentucky Parkway in Madisonville Kentucky
There was semi truck accident on Western Kentucky Parkway in Madisonville, Kentucky on Tuesday. State police have not reported on the extent of the injuries, but Kentucky truck accident lawyer Shawn Cantley said, "Semi truck versus passenger car or truck wrecks usually result in serious injury or death to the occupants of the passenger car or truck. Hopefully everyone in this wreck is okay."
According to Kentucky State Police, Ronald Parker was driving a 2009 Mack semi westbound following a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Noel White Jr. Apparently, Mr. Parker did not realize he was traveling faster than the F-150, and he struck Noel White's vehicle in the rear. According to police, Mr. White's truck flipped several times, ejecting Mr. White before coming to a rest. The semi truck skidded to a stop several hundred feet past the point of impact. The driver of the passenger truck, Mr. White, was transported to Regional Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the semi truck who rear-ended Mr. White received no injuries.
According to semi truck accident lawyer Shawn Cantley: "A semi truck is one of the most dangerous pieces of equipment in existence. They are huge, heavy pieces of machinery that travel at very high speeds. When a semi truck strikes a passenger car there usually isn't a happy ending for the folks in the passenger car. This is why tractor-trailer drivers must drive with the utmost care and their employers must be super diligent regarding hiring, training, and compliance with sleep and rest regulations and other important safety rules."
