Pulaski County, Kentucky Woman Killed in Car Accident
A twenty-one year old Pulaski County woman died and three people were seriously injured when two vehicles collided on Thursday morning near Somerset.
Kentucky State Police announced that Amanda G. Neely had to be extricated from the wreckage and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Amanda Neely was driving north on U.S. 27 toward Somerset in a 1995 Mustang when she crossed the centerline and hit an oncoming 1998 Jeep driven by Joshua Ware, 19, of Ferguson, according to a news release.
Ware and two passengers in Neely's car, 25-year-old Ashlee Worley and Michael Messamore, 27, both from the Somerset area, were injured and were flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, authorities said.
Worley and Messamore were in critical condition Thursday evening, and Ware was in serious condition.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
