Child Molestation: Minister Charged With Sexual Abuse Crimes Against Children

A Frankfort, Kentucky man has been charged and indicted for allegedly engaging in sex crimes against minors that he dealt while he was a church youth minister.

Kentucky State Police arrested 47-year-old Gordon Lunceford of Richmond, Kentucky following a six month investigation. He faces 13 charges, including rape, sexual abuse and sodomy. Lunceford was a youth minister at churches in Anderson, Franklin and Madison Counties.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones sexual abuse lawyer Larry Jones, who is a member of the National Crime Victims Bar Association and experienced with helping children who have been sexually abused, says, "This is yet another instance of a person who is placed in a position of trust with children and allegedly violated that special relationship. Victims of sexual abuse suffer not just at the time of the abuse, but they continue to suffer their entire lives. In my opinion, there is no greater crime."
