Two Killed in Different Crossover Auto Accidents Yesterday in Kentucky
Two people were killed in two different Kentucky accidents (one in Pulaski County and one in Clay County) involving vehicles that allegedly crossed the center line. Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones personal injury attorney Larry Jones says, "It is truly amazing how many people are killed each your in crossover auto accidents. A 'crossover' is when one vehicle crosses the center lane and hits a vehicle coming from a different direction. Given the widespread use of cell phones, email and texting devices, and handheld computers while driving, I expect that we will see an increase in crossover wrecks in the coming years. Personally, I've advised my family to drive in the far right hand lane on a four lane road when at all possible. Doing so takes you out of the immediate line of danger."
Jones also says, "Crossover auto accidents are not limited to two and four lane roads. It happens frequently on the interstate. Many lives are lost each year when a vehicle crosses the median on the freeway and travels into oncoming traffic. The best way to prevent these crossover auto accidents is the installation of cable barriers. In researching the issue for another family, I have concluded that cable barriers absolutely save lives."
