Simpsonville Ky. Accident Victim Loses Unborn Twins in Car Wreck

The Louisville Courier Journal is reporting this awful tragedy about a 20 year old who lost her unborn twins in an auto accident. Here is the relevant part of the Louisville Courier Journal story:

A Simpsonville, Kentucky woman was in critical condition at University Hospital today after losing her unborn twins following a Wednesday crash on Ky. 44 in Mount Washington.

Jennifer Smothers, 20, was flown to the hospital, where her unborn twins were pronounced dead upon delivery.

Smothers also had a baby restrained in a car seat in the back seat of her white Chevrolet when the accident occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. Her baby, whose condition is unknown, was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, Melissa Caudill, 40, of Mount Washington, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital and was in fair condition this afternoon.
