New Kentucky Law Bars Sex Offenders from School Premises
Effective July 1, 2009, a new Kentucky law will bar sex offenders from entering upon the grounds of Kentucky schools unless they first receive written permission to enter upon the school grounds. The law, which goes into effect July 1, also applies to licensed day-care facilities.
Kentucky law already prohibits schools from hiring sex offenders. However, the new law specifically prohibits sex offenders from being on school or day-care property.
