Madisonville, KY Car Accident Injury
There was an injury car crash on Island Ford Road in Hopkins County, Kentucky on Monday. According to Kentucky State Police, Bobby Murray was operating a 2006 Nissan Murano southbound on Island Ford Road approaching the intersection of the Pennyrile Parkway entrance ramp. Mr. Murray received the green light and proceeded straight through the intersection. At the same time, Ashli Conrad was operating a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country northbound on Island Ford Road and was attempting to make a left turn onto the entrance ramp. Ms. Conrad, apparently, did not see Mr. Murray traveling through the intersection and made a left turn in front of him. The front of both vehicles struck each other causing severe damage.
The passengers in Mr. Murray's vehicle, Shelby and Haleigh Darnell, were transported to Regional Medical Center by a personal vehicle for treatment. All occupants in Mr. Murray's vehicle were wearing seat belts. Ms. Conrad reportedly was not wearing a seat belt.
"It's important to always wear a seat belt," said Kentucky accident lawyer, Shawn Cantley, who has represented hundreds of victims who were injured in car accidents. "Unfortunately, while seat belts save lives, they do not always prevent injury."
