Louisville Zoo Train Lawsuit Filed
According to the Louisville Courier Journal, an Indiana family is suing the Louisville Zoo over a June 1 train derailment that sent 22 to the hospital, claiming the zoo was “grossly negligent” in its maintenance and operation of the train.
Amy and Darren Bamforth and their child were on the zoo train when it came off the tracks and caused the passenger cars to topple over, injuring them and other riders.
The lawsuit also seeks to prevent the Zoo from from altering or destroying the train or any photographs, videos, reports or statements taken in the aftermath of the derailment.

Bahe Cook Cantley & Jones personal injury attorney Larry Jones says "Based upon rumors on the internet that this isn't the first time the train has derailed, I think the judge will likely enter an order preserving the evidence in this case. Such "preservation orders" are common in such accident cases."
